Pigs on the tree
Canvas, acrylic, mixed media
170x220 cm, 2024
An allegory of a branching tree, mimicking digital painting yet created in an original medium that depicts an imitation of digital art, oscillates between an echo of pop art and an attempt to confound the viewer's perception of the observed object. This is complemented by multiplying pig snouts, moist and succulent. The artist's vision of contemporary painting is thus rendered: slightly absurd, vivid, and profoundly impactful.
